The Historical Preservation Society of the Nebraska City Volunteer Fire Department Inc. has recently opened a Fire Museum and Educational Center in Nebraska City.
  The "Mission of the Society" is to preserve the history of the Nebraska City Fire Department and Firefighting through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents and photographs.
  The purpose of the Museum is to educate the public about fire safety and the history of firefighting in Nebraska City from its inception to the present day. This will be accomplished through interpretive exhibits, educational programming and research.

Please, join us in creating a legacy that will for generations to come, honor the firefighters who risk their lives to help us in case of one of the greatest crises any of us could face --- A fire in our home, business place or community.
